sigh. for real. sigh.
A very good friend of mine once brought it to my attention that time is really only useful for measuring change. Days pass and nights pass and the moon changes its shape for us. We grow closer to or farther from the ones we know and think we love. We learn.
Every little bit of knowledge comes with a price though, right? It's not like we don't avoid or seek out certain things due to the contents of our card catalog brains. Of course we do. And what really kills the magic? We acquire more and more filters due to everything we come into contact with.
Our work as human beings is stripping away those filters until we are pure again. And then guarding our souls against their return with whatever strength we have left.
