In the spirit of getting exactly what I want today I did a few things.
Saw My Besty
I met up with Alyssa in Hayes Valley. We strolled around and talked about work and gossip and family and love and all of that. She is my Wife for Life, so it was needed. It's been ages since we did that.
Had Tea With My Boss
At Samovar on Page. I ate honeycomb and brown rice and talked about the intern I want to hire. Plus my career. Plus my ideas. Plus everything else that comes to mind when you get undivided attention from the person responsible for hiring you. It was pure excellence.
Bought Matching Leather Jackets for Me and Trisha
Well. Not exactly matching. But we went into Villain's Vault thinking there were some magical ass-flattering jeans in there and instead I found the only leather jacket they had for sale. It fit, but it wasn't like. You know. Awesome. It was Marina Chick cute. Not Angelina cute. And it was three hundred bucks. I asked them to hold it til closing then went to get noodles with Trish. While we waited for our order we went to Wasteland and I found the most fantastic little motorcycle jacket for me and a tiny cropped superhero jacket for Trish. One hundred and fifty bucks with tax. That's a steal, and now we're all leathered up in case we need to kick some ass.
Wrote a Note to My Ex
About the dumbness of him sending me the picture that he sent me. He insisted that I was the one tripping, and totally had no right to comment on his lifestyle cause it's been 4 years. I insisted that he knew me well enough to know that would irk the shit out of me, even 4 years after knowing and forgetting exactly who I am. We agreed to disagree. I agreed to leave his ass be.
It's been a productive day off. I spent yesterday in pajamas and small negligees running around the house doing house stuff and watching Mad Men and wondering if I'd fall for Don Draper's sorry ass lines. Fact is that I probably would.
But yeah he'd be pretty rich, and pretty powerful. So who could blame me?
Tomorrow I resume being my own Don Draper. All suave and assertive, ready for just about anything.
And well-dressed, of course.
Wish me luck, okay?
Okay.
Bonsoir!
Angelina
