Cadence

A few things worth mentioning before I just throw a gang of out of context photos at you:

0) Rhythm is everything. Every. Thing.
1) I think we need a new name for "common sense", as it doesn't seem to be very common
2) I think we can all agree that "skulduggery" is an awesome fucking word
3) I'm so. Fucking. Tired. Why can't I sleep?

So here is the masterpiece, though only partially completed:



I had way more ambitious plans, but tomorrow I'm adding an "SF" in hot pink to spice it up. Just in time for the new year. I think that's good advice, don't you?

We need constant reminders.



But that's not why I want to write my name everywhere. The reason for that season is simply vanity. I think we should all write our names as often as possible on all kinds of documents, fliers, posters, pamphlets, rare first editions and sidewalks as well. WE WERE HERE. People in the future need to remember that.



Up late tonight talking to my baby savages. They are everywhere: Australia, Peru, Istanbul, Amsterdam. They are the only ones up with me right now. There was a time when I could have blamed this all on my rockstar lifestyle. Now it's just something unromantic like depression or a vitamin deficiency.

Or perhaps: a surplus of words.



I have had too many words in my head at one time for as long as I can remember knowing words. And I envy those kids who were afforded fancy educations, complete with cute uniforms and an investment in learning without distraction for years on end. I envy that clear mental space they must have had the chance to carve out.

I'm concerned sometimes that without a time machine I cannot make up for that. So I just go to the ocean and request it. It's got to be coming my way soon. The ocean almost never denies me.
