I spent the last hour or so taking pictures of stuff I hadn't taken pictures of before. Not because I didn't want to, just because I didn't have an audience for them.

I took a corsetry class in 2005ish? It was the first time I learned to create a thing from start to finish. I learned about simplicity. The whole thing is surprisingly easy compared to other sewing I've done, but the end result is more jaw-dropping.

It feels custom even if it's not. The act of lacing it up is either a meditation on the self or the lending of the reins (like, literally) to another person and intense communication for the next five minutes. It's bigger than the sum of its parts.

Anyway. On top of the whole jumper thing I'm also shopping corsets around. Because I have them and cause they are awesome.

I'm all kinds of up in the air about work/life stuff lately. Let's hope I land safely, okay?
